Common dwarf mongoose

The pygmy mongoose is a social animal that lives in hierarchical groups, where there is a dominant pair. The group is territorial, using an area of 30-60 hectares and sleeping in termite mounds. A beneficial mutual relationship has developed with the hornets, which warn of danger and search for food together.
