Rights and obligations of the Zoo

Entrance to the Zoo for visitors is allowed only at the main entrance gate where the ticket office is located.

Every visitor is obliged to buy a ticket, show it at the request of an official and keep it for the duration of the visit to the Zoo. A visitor who finds himself in the Zoo without a paid ticket will be invited to buy one, and if he refuses, he must leave the Zoo by the shortest route.

It is forbidden to enter the Zoo after the closing of the ticket office and the main entrance door

Visitors are required to follow the instructions and warnings posted on the information boards in the Zoo

Visitors can approach the animals only in specially designated and marked places.

It is forbidden to feed the animals (except in the presence of the zookeeper), disturb them, tease them or disturb them in any way.

Visitors have the right to see all the animals in the Palić Zoo collection, unless (due to weather conditions or health reasons) the welfare of the animals requires restricting the movement of the animals to the facility where they are staying, where they are inaccessible to visitors.

Destruction, collection, breaking, pulling, etc. of all types of plants on the territory of the Zoo is prohibited.

The entry of dogs, cats and other domestic and wild animals with visitors is prohibited.

Bicycles or other forms of transportation are prohibited on the territory of the Zoo. This ban does not apply to children under 3 years of age under the supervision of parents and persons with special needs.

It is prohibited to bring in balloons, means of causing noise, equipment that can scare or irritate animals or with which they can provoke, irritate or injure them at a distance.

Photography is allowed only for personal and non-commercial purposes if the animals in the collection are photographed as part of the Zoo environment. It is forbidden to take photos of other visitors. Commercial filming is possible with the consent of an authorized person of the Zoo. The use of flash is prohibited during any type of recording.

Visitors can only move on specially designated paths. Any crossing, jumping or climbing over barriers, canals, wire fences, fences, paths marked with ropes, entering buildings and aviaries or crossing over other obstacles is strictly prohibited.

Visitors are obliged to leave the Zoo no later than one hour after the ticket office closes, without any special warning.

The visitor has the right to record complaints and remarks in writing in the Book of Complaints located at the cash desk. The authorized person of the Zoo is obliged to respond to the visitor’s complaint within 15 days. The ticket operator is obliged to inform the authorized person about the existence of the complaint within 48 hours from the submission of the complaint and submit the Book of Complaints for inspection.

Visitors have the right to use the parking lot in front of the Zoo. Parking is not charged or guarded. The Zoo bears no responsibility for material goods and vehicles left in the parking lot.

A child under the age of 16 can enter the Zoo only when accompanied by an adult.

It is forbidden to cause disorder, throw garbage, pollute the environment in any way, consume alcoholic beverages and stay in the Zoo in an intoxicated state.

Visitors are obliged to respect and comply with the instructions of Zoo officials who have uniforms with the Zoo Palić mark and/or ID cards.

The zoo is obliged to provide an appropriate information board, in two languages, easily readable, with the popular and scientific name of the animal and basic information about it, at each outlet, cage or aviary.

The zoo is obliged to provide road infrastructure, which should be clearly marked according to the directions of movement in the interest of the safety of visitors.

The zoo is obliged to use information boards to warn visitors of the dangers of animals, of the ban on teasing, approaching and disturbing animals.

The Zoo has provided a Zoo Visitor Map, which visitors receive at the Zoo Box Office when purchasing tickets.

The zoo is obliged to have a Book of Complaints, which is located at the ticket office.

The zoo has a Book of Impressions, which is located at the main entrance in a special place next to the ticket office available to visitors.

The Zoo bears no responsibility for lost or otherwise misappropriated belongings of visitors during their visit to the Zoo.

The Zoo is obliged to provide the required number of places for garbage disposal on the entire territory of the Zoo.

The Zoo reserves the right to limit visits in the case of organizing specialized activities and to temporally and spatially limit the movement of visitors without the right of visitors to a special fee or other type of compensation, and with the obligation of the Zoo to inform visitors of the restriction by displaying a notice at the ticket office.
In case of any consequences, damage or injury to visitors resulting from non-compliance and disregard of the instructions and obligations of visitors outlined in points 1 to 19, the Zoo is not liable for any material or other form of responsibility.
Visitors who behave contrary to the aforementioned rules of conduct will be asked to leave the Zoo in the shortest possible time. In case of refusal to cooperate, the Zoo will seek assistance from the police. Appropriate proceedings for compensation for damage will be initiated against persons who cause damage in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law on Obligations.
Sanctions that a natural person bears in case of violating animal welfare are prescribed by positive regulations of the Republic of Serbia: Criminal Code, Law on Animal Welfare and other regulations.
