The Palić Zoo in cooperation with the Academy for Animal Welfare and Training EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquariums) organizes a course on animal welfare (Animal Welfare Workshop) lasting 4 days.
The course covers the theoretical and practical part on the basics of welfare, as well as ways to increase the quality of life of animals in captivity. It is intended for people who work daily with wild animal species with the aim of improving animal welfare conditions. Workshops and lectures will be focused on ringed lemurs, and their living space in the inner and outer outlet will be enriched.
Delegations from 12 zoos participate in the course, where in addition to the hosts of Palić Zoo, our Serbian colleagues from Beo Zoo, Jagodina Zoo, Vrnjci Zoo, Bor Zoo, Pećinci Zoo are also present, and we are especially looking forward to the participation of a large number of colleagues from abroad that come to us from Zoo Skopje, Zoo Ljubljana, Zoo Osijek, Zoo Zagreb, Zoo Segedin and Zoo Sarajevo.
